A preliminary press programme is available at: www.cvd.bundesregierung.de.

A detailed press programme and the programme for accompanying persons will be published ahead of the G7 Summit.

Special passes for photocalls/press events

Due to the local conditions, only a limited number of journalists will be given access to each of the events included in the press programme.

You will need the following to gain access to photocalls and press events with limited access and to pools:

- a G7 accreditation pass
plus
- an additional, special pass.

The special passes will be issued in the International Media Centre at the following times:

- Saturday, 6 June 2015, between 12:00 and 22:00,

Ladders are not permitted at any press positions.

Camera tripods are permitted at all outdoor positions, in the case of bad weather also during the photocalls “Welcome”, “Group photo” and “Group photo G7 and outreach” indoors, as well as at the press conferences. No tripods will be permitted at any of the other photocalls indoors.

Technical information for electronic media

Information will be published separately for electronic media.

Opening reception in the International Media Centre

The Press and Information Office of the Federal Government and the Bavarian State Government invite you to the opening reception in the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at 18:30 on 6 June 2015.
The motto for the evening will be “Meet Germany – Welcome dahoam”. Guests can look forward to an entertaining programme and the opportunity to meet interesting people, to talk and relax in an informal atmosphere in various parts of the Olympic Ice Sports Centre.

Getting to and from the International Media Centre

It is expected that road traffic in and around Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be extremely heavy from 6 to 8 June 2015 due to high levels of traffic, police checkpoints and a lack of sufficient parking facilities.

We therefore recommend that you use public transport to get to the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

A car park with attendants will be available on the Schwaiganger Stud Farm (Gestüt Schwaiganger) near the A95 (Murnau/Kochel exit) for media representatives arriving by car. Please refer to the map on the G7 website for how to get there: http://www.g7germany.de/Webs/G7/DE/Medien/Anreise/anreise_node.html.
A shuttle bus will be provided to take you from there to the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and back again. Media representatives will need an email confirming their accreditation with the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government in order to be able to use the car park and to board the shuttle bus.

There will be no parking facilities next to the International Media Centre.
